Laura Eisdorfer, Psy.D.
A practicing clinical psychologist for 30 years, Laura has a penchant for helping others on their personal journeys. Having studied dance, music and the arts in her youth, Laura explored many different paths to self-exploration and self-expression. Becoming a psychologist gave Laura the tools to help others discover and travel their own personal paths while strengthening interpersonal relationships and enhancing a sense of well-being. While raising her family and working, Laura experienced some medical hurdles which left her feeling emotionally depleted and beleaguered. Laura tried yoga and discovered that it had the potential to offer another, very profound, avenue toward emotional, physical, and spiritual well being. She was hooked immediately. Laura has since completed her 200 and 300 hour teacher training and continues to study different pathways to mindfulness and healing. Laura is grateful to Ben Wisch, Denise DeLucca, Jody Domerstad, Charlotte Stone, Sheryl Edsall and Veronica Yacco for their inspiration and teachings.
Definitely a highlight of her week, Laura currently teaches for Kula for Karma at Hackensack Medical Center on the psychiatric unit, melding all of her expertise. She has recently been invited to be a regular guest instructor at the new Brandon Yoga Center in Brandon, Vermont.
Laura is appreciated for her warm, kind, and spirited nature. Out of the office and yoga studio, Laura currently indulges her creative energies in cooking and beading. She also loves hiking (especially with Hershey, the family dog), city outings, and hanging with family and friends.
FACT: Laura is always available for spontaneous, fun-filled adventures....
