Jill Perin received her 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate in 2016 under the direction of Ben Wisch at Flow Yoga Studio in Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J. Having been a professional dancer, her love of movement and desire to deepen her yoga practice led her to becoming a teacher. Her class is a combination of breath work, meditation and asana practice.
Jill has a deep desire to help people learn the poses with proper form, in order to avoid injury and experience the full expression of the pose. She believes yoga is a tool to unite body, mind and spirit and the practice helps bring us to a place of calm where we can open our hearts to step into our highest expression of ourselves.
Jill first joined the Kula community at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) where she would guide patients through meditations while they received chemo treatments. After that, she taught the outpatient mental health class at HUMC. Currently, she teaches the cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation class at the Englewood Hospital Medical Center in the Graf Center. She loves working in the Kula community, and feels grateful for the opportunity to offer her support.
FACT: Jill was a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall for 8 years.
