The mission of TeenKula is to inspire youth to make a positive impact in our community by promoting the work of Kula for Karma. Through outreach and collaboration, we work to raise awareness for Kula for Karma yoga programs that serve children with autism and other developmental disabilities; children and teens with cancer; and at-risk youth.
Everyday, TeenKula is
inspiring teens who want to make a difference in the lives
of other kids and teens! Tap into your passion, and get
involved! The programs that will receive money raised from TeenKula events
will be determined by the TeenKula Committee.
In order for TeenKula to be a success, we need your help! Come join us! Although TeenKula is run by teens, the participation of all ages is encouraged.

TEEN KULA FOR KARMA FUNDRAISER - A HUGE SUCCESS!
On a beautiful spring morning, hundreds of walkers showed up at the municipal field in Franklin Lakes to support Teen Kula for Karma and the Mayor's Wellness Campaign.
The field was covered with colorful yoga mats, as the walkers participated in a dynamic warm-up, followed by yoga stretches, prior to their walk. Participants included runners, speed walkers and families with strollers and dogs, all of whom enjoyed the tree-lined paths behind the recreation complex. The morning concluded with live music provided by several very talented teen groups. The success of this event can be attributed to the passionate group of Teen Kula for Karma volunteers who devoted many hours of their spare time to organize the event.
The mission of Teen Kula for Karma is to reach out to the "kula" or community for help in providing "karma" or selfless service to children and teens in need. Through the art of yoga, this teen organization works toward healing the broken spirits of victims of illness, abuse, neglect, addiction and other life obstacles. The $10,000 raised by this kula-thon will greatly benefit these needy groups.

TeenKula Attends Wellness Walk
On Saturday, November 21st, members of TeenKula attended a Wellness Walk at the Pulis Avenue Recreation Field in Franklin Lakes. It was the kick-off event for the Franklin Lakes Mayors Wellness Campaign, which is part of an initiative of the New Jersey League of Municipalities to promote health and wellness throughout New Jersey's cities and towns. It turned out to be a refreshing day as residents took a walk along the nature path to the Municipal Fields and back and enjoyed a healthy outdoor activity together. Those who attended representing TeenKula presented information to the participants about our upcoming events in the community and encouraged them to spread the word to local teens to join our blooming organization.
We
believe when the hearts and minds of
many come together for a purpose, powerful
change can happen in the lives of so
many who need our help! All
donations will go directly to making sure all those
who need our services have access to our programs!
