Advanced Teacher Trainings for Trauma and Addiction
with Nancy CaNdea

In this training we will explore:
- The development and consequences of trauma-related disorders and addition.
- The psychotherapeutic treatment of trauma-related disorders and how yoga fits into an integratve treatment approach.
- The special considerations and cautions when providing yoga therapy for war veterans, active troops, addicts, victims of war crimes, sec trafficking, incarcerated youth, and adults, at-risk children and teen.
- Specific practics and protocols found to be helpful for trauma-affeted individuals, including a detailed treatment manual.
- Yoga Alliance credits are available.

Nancy Candea is Kula for Karma's Director of Advanced Teacher Training and founder/director of Yoga Impact. Nancy is a certified yoga therapist with 15 years teaching experience. The American Yoga Academy in partnership with The Wilshire Grand Hotel invites you for an evening of cocktails, hor d'oeuvres, celebration, and inspiration to benefit Kula for Karma.Network with the Health and wellness community and meet author Claire Diab for the launch of her book "Modern Day Yoga for the Modern Day Yogi." and giving a short inspiration talk on "Modern Day Living, the Yoga Way."
Grand Prize Giveaways include:
- A week of Yoga and Meditation with Deepak Chopra at the Chopra Center's "Seductions of Spirit" retreat (value $2,775)

Kula for Karma was in attendance at the recent Women's
Good Living Event, sponsored by MyBergen.com and
held at the Bergen Community College Saturday on June 4,
2011. There was a 5k run and a 3k walk, and our Kula Queen
Penni Feiner (below center) came in third place!
