Denise Dunlap Ratcliffe
Strategic Advisor to the President and CEO, Christian Health Care Center
Denise Dunlap Ratcliffe, LNHA, serves as Strategic Advisor to the President and CEO of Christian Health Care Center (CHCC), a 531-bed non-profit provider with a more than 100 year heritage of providing high-quality, person-centered senior living, short-term rehabilitation and mental health services on campuses in Wyckoff, Hawthorne, and Wayne, NJ.
Ms. Ratcliffe served as the CHCC’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for 25 years, and was responsible for daily operational oversight, including 900+ employees, 85 physician partners, and a $73 million budget. In September 2015 she assumed her new role as Strategic Advisor to the President and CEO, with a focus on strengthening CHCC’s strategic partnerships including ACOs and bundles; advancing CHCC’s Person and Family-Centered Care initiative; and leading the design and program planning for CHCC’s new continuing care retirement community, The Vista.
A licensed nursing home administrator for more than 30 years, Ms. Ratcliffe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Rider University School of Business, Lawrenceville, NJ. She is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators and a recipient of the college’s Distinguished Health Care Professional award. She served as Chair of the Executive Board of the Health Care Association of NJ. Additionally, Ms. Ratcliffe has served on committees for the New Jersey Hospital Association (including its ACO Constituency Group); the American Health Care Association and Leading Age, both nationally and in New Jersey.
As a new resident of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Ms. Ratcliffe is taking more time to explore the beauty of the Cape, expanding her yoga and meditation practice, and enjoying the creativity of watercolor painting and gardening. In addition to her work on the Kula for Karma Board, Ms. Ratcliffe currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Valley Home Care and Hospice Board of Trustees, Ridgewood, NJ, and as the Chair of the Reformed Church in America Board of Benefit Services, Grand Rapids, MI.
