At Kula for Karma, our Medical Advisory Board is made up of an incredible group of medical professionals from across our Kula Care programs sites. These individuals educate us about the positive medical and psychological benefits of yoga; and with their help, we’re able to stay up to date on current research and trends in the world of integrative medicine, working together to cultivate new program opportunities.
One of our Medical Advisory Board members is Dr. Larry Rosen, an integrative pediatrician and founder of the Whole Child Center in Oradell, NJ. The Whole Child Center is a revolutionary pediatric practice whose mission is to provide children and families with high-quality, state-of-the-art integrative and ecologically sustainable healthcare.
We’re so grateful to have Dr. Rosen as a friend and advisor to Kula. He is passionate about serving the needs of children from a holistic perspective, and his commitment to changing the face of healthcare is equal to his commitment to Kula for Karma's Executive Board of Directors. As head of Kula's Medical Advisory Board, Larry skillfully oversees the growth of our Kula Care hospital-based programs, a role that helps us serve an increasing number of people every day.
We also love Dr. Rosen’s balanced approach to integrating holistic practices into our homes and routines. He says:
“I encourage kids to build their stress coping toolboxes. That can include getting outside more, exercising, eating healthier, getting more sleep, being creative, reducing screen time, and finding specific mind-body therapies that work – breath work, guided imagery, journaling, yoga, meditation and so on. There are a million different ways to cope with stress – you just have to figure out what works for you.”
We’re excited to announce that in celebration of Dr. Rosen’s upcoming birthday, his family has set up the Dr. Larry Rosen Children’s Fund to raise money for Kula’s Integrative Pediatric program. We’re so incredibly grateful for Dr. Rosen’s generous and unwavering support of Kula for Karma over the years.
We invite you to help us celebrate Dr. Rosen’s birthday and his amazing work by sharing information about the fund with your family and friends, or by making a contribution to the fund in support of Kula’s Integrative Pediatric programs here.
ou can read more about Dr. Rosen’s thoughts on holistic wellness, integrative medicine, and his work with the Whole Child Center and Kula in an interview we did with him last year here, or on his own blog here. The Whole Child Center also offers a plethora of resources on integrative medicine, which you can find here.
Thank you for all that you do, and happy birthday, Dr. Rosen!
