Anastasia is Kula for Karma’s Program Director for New Jersey. She discovered the practice of yoga 25 years ago at the Himalayan Institute near Chicago. Since then she has studied with diverse teachers and explored various yoga styles including hatha, vinyasa, and ashtanga. Anastasia strongly believes in yoga as a path to self transformation and a force for positive change on and off the mat.
After working in various positions in marketing and organizational development, she decided to dive deeper into yoga and completed a 200-hour teacher training certification at Naturally Yoga in Glen Rock, NJ. She is especially grateful to her teacher, Sheryl Edsall, who connected her to Kula for Karma and sparked a passion for bringing yoga to diverse populations.
Anastasia completed Kula’s advanced teacher trainings for cardiac and oncology and stepped on the mat as a volunteer in 2016. She enjoys creative writing, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
FACT: Anastasia’s favorite job ever was renting beach umbrellas.
