On and off of the yoga mat, Amanda is passionate about providing individuals with tools that enable them to activate and maintain self-care. Amanda is a licensed social worker (LMSW), 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and is also certified in Yoga-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Y-CBT). She has completed Kula for Karma's Advanced Trainings for Trauma & Addiction and Adult Oncology.
Since 2010, Amanda has taught a variety of programs for Kula for Karma, including classes for homeless youth at Covenant House, children and adults living with cancer at Hackensack University Medical Center, children with autism, students in the Paterson Public Schools, and chair yoga classes for adults with mental illness at Care Plus. Amanda currently teaches yoga and mindfulness to adolescents at Bellevue Hospital's Psychiatric Inpatient Unit.
In addition to yoga, Amanda enjoys hiking, visiting museums, and exploring all that our country and world have to offer.
