Advanced Teacher Training

Kula for Karma provides specialized, in-depth trainings for yoga teachers, therapists, and other professionals who work with clients recovering from Trauma or Addiction, as well as a standalone training in Yoga for Eating Disorders.

Our trainings are founded on our 11 years of clinical experience working with patients and students in hospitals, rehab centers, shelters, prisons, yoga studios, and other environments, and informed by the latest research and treatment methodologies. Each training is led by qualified experts in the field, and includes both theory and practical applications that are vetted by our medical advisory board. Students finish our trainings with a deeper awareness of the issues their clients face, how to modify traditional therapeutic yoga and meditation practices to suit client needs, and how to work with client triggers and special needs in real-life settings.

Kula for Karma instructors are required to complete a Kula training (or demonstrate equivalent training and experience) in order to teach to these sensitive populations.

Kula for Karma teachers are required to have a 200-hr yoga teacher certification, along with additional training and experience.

Practicum includes:
Lesson plan development, mentoring, observing, & teaching
CEUs are available
